There is lots to do in the Shuswap this weekend  whether you’re in Chase, Enderby, Sicamous, Armstrong or Salmon Arm. We’ve compiled a list of some of the submissions to our website. It’s going to be tough to choose an event with so many things happening!


Canada Day 150 Eve

Head to Armstrong Memorial Park on June 30th for their “Countdown to Canada Day 150 Eve”. 

Pack up your supper for a picnic in the park beginning at 6pm.

Then Valley First Music in the Park presents Viper Central from 7pm- 9pm. TELUS will be there giving away SWAG along with Rancho Vignola with tasty treats for everyone to try.

Representatives from Sister City Rathfriland will be attending the event and are excited to meet our community!

From 9:00pm-12:15am Armstrong/Spallumcheen Parks and Recreation is having a FREE Swim thanks in part to members of the Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Centre!

Additonally, there will be an outdoor movie from 9:30pm-11:30pm in the park. Be sure to bring some snacks and a lawn chair then sit back and enjoy the outdoor movie screen showing either Beauty and the Beast 2017 or Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Have your say in a poll!

At Midnight we will be singing Happy 150th Birthday to Canada!

Canada Day in Enderby!

Bring your national pride to Enderby for a Canada Day celebration unlike any other! Celebrate Canadian culture with a range of events, activities, entertainment, and a massive birthday cake.

Children’s Festival Pancake Breakfast

Sicamous Canada 150 Activites

Sicamous is notorious for having an excellent Canada Day celebration, there’s a ton of great family friendly activities happening throughout the day as well as an awesome fireworks show in the evening.

Chase Canada Day Celebrations

Head to Chase for a Pancake Breakfast at 8:00am then stick around for a parade, park market boat rides, a beer garden, face painting, a pow wow, live performances and more! Check out our link to the event page for more details.

The biggest little celebration around! Enjoy Canada’s 150th birthday in a family atmosphere of entertainment and enjoyment. Lots of vendors and a great line up of stage entertainment! Biggest FIREWORKS show ever!

Canada Day Children’s Festival

FREE ADMISSION! The gates open at 9:45 A M July 1st! One free game ticket for every kid – plus a BONUS game ticket if you wear red! Please leave your dogs ( all sizes!) at home.

40+ GAMES & ACTIVITIES 50 cent carnival games and loads of free activities including bouncy houses, dance exhibition and wagon rides.

HUGE SILENT AUCTION! The silent auction has more than doubled in size this year! Be sure to stop into the Memorial Arena to place your bid before 2PM!

At the Red Barn Arts Centre between 10:00am – 2:00pm on Canada Day.
Family friendly activities include: Art work to take home, face painting, Photo Booth, Entertainment, and Canada Day Cake served at noon.

Celebrate Canada’s 150 anniversary of Confederation at Canoe Beach. Take a virtual across Canada trip stopping in at every province and territory for local music and photo ops of landmarks. Join a sing along danceathon after dinner with Patrick Ryley and stay up late for a fast and furious fireworks display.
